The UA Resistance Foundation, in partnership with US Ambulances for Ukraine, has made a significant impact by sending 65 ambulances, 9 firetrucks, 10 SUVs, and 2 wheelchair accessible buses to Ukraine. These vehicles are crucial in providing life-saving support in the midst of ongoing war. This initiative was made possible by the generous financial support of Direct Relief, whose critical contributions ensured that these emergency vehicles reach those who need them most. We also extend our cordial gratitude to the American Ambulance Association, Gate to Ukraine, the American Hospital Association, Rotary International, and The Rockefeller Foundation for their invaluable financial backing.
We are immensely grateful to the donors who contributed ambulances and fire engines, including Mountain View Volunteer Rescue Squad, Life Care Medical Transports, Lake Oswego Fire Department, InHealth, Grady, Franconia Volunteer Fire Department, Fire Oaks Fire and Rescue Co. 21, City of Beverly Fire Department, Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District, Cataldo Ambulance Service, ATEC Ambulance, Advanced Medical Transport of Central Illinois, Stadium Medical Inc., Woods Ambulance Inc., National Health Transportation Inc., Muscatine Fire Department, IL State Police, Loyola Medical Center, Grady Health System. Their generosity has made a world of difference in the lives of countless Ukrainians.
Our vehicles cover a vast geography, from Odesa, Kyiv, and Lutsk to Kharkiv, Kherson, and Kupiansk. Each day, each vehicle rescues an average of twenty people, offering urgent medical care and transportation in critical situations. The fire engines, donated by our generous partners, respond to more than a thousand calls each year, making them indispensable in addressing the aftermath of Russia’s relentless shelling of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. These vehicles are not just machines; they are lifelines that help save lives, restore hope, and rebuild communities devastated by war.
Emergency vehicles are crucial for saving lives, but many have been lost due to Russia's targeting of medics. We urgently need more vehicles to ensure that our medical teams can continue their vital work. If you can help, please consider donating a vehicle.
